I Really Do Not Need Things To Write About

I keep kidding my wife by telling her she does not need to generate situations for me to write about; I have enough stuff happen to me as it is. :) Anyway, I am overdue for an update:

We finally had our garage sale. Anything we could not sell was donated to Goodwill and the local library. It is nice to park (at least one vehicle) in the garage again. Now, if we could only get the garage door open to work.

Last Wednesday (5/6), Rachel started to feel sick. On Friday, we were supposed to go to a bowling event. But, she did not feel up to it. So, I went without her. I am not a bowler; the last time I went bowling was about twenty years ago. Playing on my Wii does not count. However, it was for a good cause. Besides, it gave me a chance to socialize with some of my coworkers. The first game went okay. As I had anticipated, I came in last. On the second game, I had a higher score and I did not come in last again. I wish I could have stayed longer. Unfortunately, Rachel's fever was starting to increase. I left the alley and met her at the hospital.

We ended up staying at the hospital until at least 1:00 AM the next morning. It turns out that she has bronchitis. She is still coughing, but is feeling much better. In fact, we decided to go see a movie. The movie was quite enjoyable. It is too bad that a broken window had to spoil the mood.

Apparently, someone smashed the passenger side window. They stole my GPS, its mount, and its charger. Normally, I would remove the GPS. Actually, as I was exiting the vehicle, I remember thinking that I should hide it. At least they left my wife's purse.

This past week was my birthday. As typical, it was nothing special. Rachel and I just had some pizza for dinner. I did get two nice cards though. I was supposed to start school. But, I am having financial aid difficulties. So, right now I am locked out of class. If I do not get this resolved in the next few days, I will have to drop out of this term and wait for the next term.

Recently Rachel stepped down from her position at Target. The stress from her position was interfering with her ability to manage her diabetes. While the loss of income will hurt, her mental and physical welfare is more important.

Probably more has transpired within the last month or so. But, this is all that I can think of right now.
