Birthday

New Year's 2010

Every start of a new year, it is a weird feeling to write a different year on documents and such. It is even weirder to write years in a different decade. As with most years, the prior year seems to have flown by.

This month, I celebrated my one year anniversary at Cuyahoga Community College. I think it is wonderful to work with not only a good team. But, it is also inspiring to know you have a part in helping educate and improve the community. I still like going to work each day and I look forward to many years to come.

I Really Do Not Need Things To Write About

I keep kidding my wife by telling her she does not need to generate situations for me to write about; I have enough stuff happen to me as it is. :) Anyway, I am overdue for an update:

We finally had our garage sale. Anything we could not sell was donated to Goodwill and the local library. It is nice to park (at least one vehicle) in the garage again. Now, if we could only get the garage door open to work.

New Year's 2009

I hope everyone had a good holiday. Unlike most years, Rachel and I actually dressed up and went out to celebrate. It is the first time since our wedding since she has worn a dress! She looked wonderful in it. She will probably post the pictures we took on her site.

Time Marches On

This past week has been relatively quiet. So far, my schoolwork has been easy; I do more complex stuff at work. Rachel and I recently finished The Simpsons Game on the Wii. I am still working on Super Paper Mario when Rachel is not home.

Happy Easter

Rachel and I do not yet have kids (since some people do not count pets as kids). But, that did not stop us for attempting to dye some eggs. For whatever reason, the eggs did not come out as good as I wanted. Maybe the water was not hot enough or we got our proportions wrong. As they will probably just be eaten in a few days, it is probably a moot point. We also spent time making deviled eggs. As least I know those will be eaten within the next few days.

Chuck E. Cheese

Some family members and I celebrated Rachel's thirtieth birthday today at Chuck E. Cheese. We knew that there would be many kids, but there was much more than expected. At least everyone seemed to have a good time.

Happy Birthday Rachel

My wife Rachel turned thirty years old today. Personally, I do not like a reminder of my age. However, Rachel has no (apparent) qualms about getting older. I figure in another ten or twenty years her feelings will change. Tomorrow we are supposed to go to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate her birthday.

Dining With A Rodent

Today we celebrated Rachel's twenty-eighth birthday. She did not want a party, so we did dinner on the spur of the moment. The food was pretty good. We surprised by a rodent during dinner though. Rachel was happy; the rodent was Chuck E. Cheese. I even took their picture.

After dinner we played all of the games. We ended up with over a thousand tickets. We traded them in for a gumball machine, cotton candy, and some other types of candy. It would have been nicer without the screaming kids. But, what would you expect?

Happy Birthday Rachel

I guess that I have been a bit busy. It has been several weeks since my last blog update. I do not know if anyone likes my entries or even reads them. But, here goes:

I recently started two new classes: ACC201 (Principles of Accounting I) and ECO201 (Principles of Macroeconomics). I had a few years of accounting in high school. In addition, working the past dozen years for a wireless billing company enabled me to pick up a few things. So far, the classes have been easy. I cannot believe that it is already the third week of school (almost halfway over).

The Snow Is A Coming

Things have been fairly quiet for the past few weeks. I have been settling in at work (which I absolutely love BTW). I do not quite like getting up as early as I do. But, I am getting used to it. I am even starting to exercise again as my schedule is becoming more predictable.
