Inauguration Ceremony

Rachel and I went to the Lorain Palace Theatre to watch Barak Obama's Presidential Inauguration Ceremony. I am not really a political person. However, I had never been to that theater. In addition, it is a historical event. There were a number of news crews there. One of them even caught a picture of us standing there.

New Year's 2009

I hope everyone had a good holiday. Unlike most years, Rachel and I actually dressed up and went out to celebrate. It is the first time since our wedding since she has worn a dress! She looked wonderful in it. She will probably post the pictures we took on her site.

Election Results 2008

So, it looks like we have a new President. Considering how yesterday was Election Day, it is not that surprising. It is also not surprising that Barack Obama won. Looking at just the popular vote, the race could have gone either way. A half a dozen states changed their party affiliations from Republican to Democrat. It is clear that America wants a change. I hope that Obama produces a positive change. Of course, change does not happen overnight.

Finding Political News Online

The New York Times recently published an article on how young people pass on political news and most news in general. Essentially, they get their news primarily from social networking sites and e-mails from their friends. I guess that is is probably true as I found this on Slashdot. :)

Governor Schwarzenegger

Well, Arnold won the governor recall in California. I can't help but laugh everytime I think about it. The movie Total Recall keeps coming to mind. I also wonder if the reference about Schwarzenegger becoming President in Demolition Man will come true.
