I thought that I would post some links to that people have been asking me about it. The first is a link to the final Harry Potter book. The deluxe edition is also available.
The second is a link to the digital picture frame I have on my desk. The picture frame holds about sixty pictures, but it can take memory sticks. Several of my coworkers have commented about it.
Today is Christmas. Rachel and I spent a leisurely day at home. We talked to some relatives over the phone and spent the rest of the day watching movies and eating leftovers. Yesterday, we went to Rachel's mom house for dinner. So, this week so far has been a relaxing week. The previous week, on the other hand, was rather busy.
Rachel had her splint removed last Monday. The doctor said that everything looked okay. He told her that he should have made the scar longer to connect with her Tigger tattoo. That way, it would look like Tigger was climbing something.
It appears as though my financial aid will not go through for this school session. I was hoping to have it resolved by today, but no such luck. If it gets resolved by Friday (and I receive my books by then), then I will just make the deadline. Otherwise, I will have at least two months without school.
If nothing else, it will give me some more free time to read and work on other projects. Lately, I only get about an hour or so a week for reading. On Saturdays, I walk on my treadmill for an hour (instead of jogging). This gives me the perfect opportunity to catch up on some reading.
I finally finished scanning in all the pictures that were on display during my father-in-law's memorial service. I uploaded the pictures to my photo gallery. However, I still need to add descriptions to all of the pictures. In the meantime, feel free to review them.
I think that I am nearly caught up with my "to do" list. At least, I am as caught up as I was last month. Now, it is time to catch up with my writing. At the last count, I had about fifty different items that I wanted to discuss:
Nearly a month ago, my step mom sent me a scrapbook containing old photos of my relatives on my dad's side of the family. I am very overdue in sending heart-felt thanks. It is nice to view some glimpses of my history.
In case you haven't noticed, I've been doing a lot of reading recently. To that end, I've created a web page that tracks what I'm reading, what I've read, and what I'm about to read. If you're curious about any of the books, click on the book link to find out more. On a related note, if you purchase any of the books that are on my list, I get a small commission.
Last night I received a card and the first season of A-Team on DVD from Rachel. That should last me a few days. Today, from my dogs, I received a new shirt and a box of chocolates (which probably won't last the night). This afternoon my parents-in-law, my grandparents-in-law, Rachel and I went out to lunch at Yanni's. Yanni's, if I haven't mentioned is a great place to eat. I don't think we have had a bad meal yet.
